Fall foliage in New England is truly the most beautiful place to see the falling leaves against the backdrop of rolling hills, covered bridges and old New England style architecture. Along with all there is to do and see in Woodstock, Vermont and Portland, Maine, we’ll enjoy being creative together, dig deeper into God’s Word during our morning devotions by the fireplace, gather together for wonderful meals and refresh our faith throughout this time with one another. And, I have a special guest teacher with me at this retreat and I can’t wait to share more soon!
We’ll start our time together at a beautiful 500 acre farm tucked away in it’s own private world, with a driveway that takes you through the fields of horses, a quaint pond, and a sweet little chapel. Just minutes from downtown Woodstock, this will be our home base for 5 nights as we explore the area. We’ll discover the covered bridges this area is so famously known for and I’ll share some of the “not so secret” places this beautiful area has to offer at this time of year. We’ll have time to create and delve into the theme for the year as we’re inspired by the beauty of the changing seasons. We’ll cozy up by the fireplace (and fire pit) and savor moments of quiet conversation with new friends. We’ll stroll downtown Woodstock and explore the streets filled with gorgeous historic homes… so much so you’ll be dreaming of moving to Vermont! We’ll learn how to bake fresh breads at King Arthurs baking school, create our own pottery at Farmhouse Pottery, and have plenty of time to explore this part of New England during one of the most beautiful times of year!
Then we’ll drive to Portland, Maine through one of America’s Top Scenic Drives, the Kangamangas Highway! This scenic route will be a highlight of the trip as we make our way to Maine. Then we’ll explore this coastal town for the last three days and enjoy riding bikes, touring a lighthouse and tasting some of the best food in it’s vibrant food scene.
We can’t wait for this Art &Faith Creative Retreat next Fall! It encompasses everything we love about this time of year in Vermont and Maine, and we’ve prepared such a special retreat for those of you who don’t want to fly all the way across the ocean to join us in Italy or England… Right here in beautiful New England!
We hope you’ll prayerfully consider joining us on this retreat, and we look forward to seeing what the Lord will do during our time together!
