Bringing Back “Love, Tuesday” with a HUGE Announcement!
Happy Tuesday everyone! Guess what?
It’s my Birthday today!
And for my birthday I wanted to bring something back I used to do weekly for years and years… called “Love, Tuesday.”
Love, Tuesday was a weekly series where I shared bits and pieces of what I was loving at the time. And for today’s Love, Tuesday I thought I’d harken back to that time and share some NEW & EXCITING things I’m loving!
Ok, the first thing I am excited to share about is our Scholarship FUND!!
Applications are now OPEN for our Art & Faith Creative Retreat Scholarship Program!
As most of you know, this has been a dream of mine for many years. I see how these retreats can change lives as we point women back to Jesus in creative ways and in beautiful settings, so I wanted to create a way for anyone — regardless of circumstance — to have the chance to experience one. Last year God opened the door for this to become a reality, and we had our first scholarship awardee join us this past May in Bellagio, Italy. It was truly incredible to see how GOOD our God is and such a joy to see how it all came together.
So… I’m thrilled to open applications for the 2nd annual Art & Faith Creative Retreat Scholarship Program, offering one recipient a fully-sponsored spot at the Art & Faith Creative Retreat in Bellagio, Italy June of 2027.
This is more than a getaway. It’s a week of creative renewal, community, and faith-centered reflection on the shores of Lake Como.
The scholarship includes:
Full retreat tuition
$1,000 toward airfare
Who can apply: Open to any woman 18 or older. No art experience necessary — just an open heart and a willingness to create.
How to apply: Email me to request your application. Applications open September 1 and close October 15, 2026. One recipient will be selected and announced in early December.
How can you help this Scholarship Program continue?
Help this program grow: This scholarship is made possible through an upcoming art auction, (after I get home from our October retreat) with all proceeds going directly toward the award. You can support this program at any time through the donation page on my website HERE, or donating your artwork to our fund. I pray we can make this opportunity possible year after year!
We can’t wait to see who joins us next June in Bellagio. ✨
Second thing I’m loving this Tuesday is an added bonus to our May 2027 retreat… This creative friend is coming BACK to Italy with me!
Yes, Stephanie Ackerman taught at TWO Art & Faith Creative Retreats back in 2015 & 2017, and it’s a full circle moment for her to be teaching with me in 2027! 10 years has gone by, and it is a true JOY to welcome her back again. My retreats have changed a lot since back then, so much more relaxed and focused on Jesus… and it feels so good to have her back creating with us! Go check out her website and see the JOY that comes out in her creative endevors.
She will be with me at the May 22-29, 2027 retreat, BUT… there are only 3 spots left! So if you’d like to join us, REGISTER HERE soon!
Last thing I’m loving is this brown linen dress that I’ve had for a while, but just wore it for the first time in Napa last week!
Now to back it up a bit… Lance and I went to Napa to visit with family and get away for a little relaxation time. I made a commitment to not buy ANY new clothes for the rest of the year (because I already have too much) so this was in my closet and it seemed like the perfect dress to take with me to an early fall trip to wine country. And it was! I have to say… Being in your late 50’s and going through “the change” has got me feeling frumpy lately. But this dress was so light (and imo) flattering! So I checked on Amazon to see if it was still there, and it IS! You can grab one in several different colors here:
BTW… I’ll share more on the sketch I did at Bouchon later this week (You can check it out on my YouTube channel and IG later this week) I also just wrapped up a month of reading through Proverbs on YouTube and sharing my Art & Faith Journaling if you want to check that out too.
So there you have it! My three favorite things for this Tuesday.
Have a GREAT week… and enjoy a piece of cake for me!
Hugs to all,
Laura McCollough
P.s. If you’ve followed me through all the different blogs I’ve had over the years, (my 1st one started in 2007) and all over the internet since then, then say HI in the comments, because I’d love to hear from you!
